Eurasian Rating Agency now headed by former head of EDB and Federal Customs Service Belyaninov

MOSCOW. June 17 (Interfax) - Former head of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) and the Federal Customs Service (FCS) Andrey Belyaninov has become General Director of the Eurasian Rating Agency JSC, the Unified State Register of Legal Entities shows.

The Eurasian Rating Agency was created in February 2020. It received its current name in January 2024, whereas it was previously called Mestor JSC and CityCar JSC. The company provides consulting and information services. Charter capital is 100 thousand rubles. The owners of the company are not disclosed.

Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed establishing a rating agency for the EAEU countries in May 2023. "It would be useful to establish a Eurasian rating agency, which would ensure the availability of adequate assessment tools to serve the growing economic activity on the territory of the EurAsEC," the head of state said at the time.

Belyaninov is currently Secretary General of the Eurasian Peoples' Assembly. He left the post of Chairman of the Board of the EDB, which he had held since December 2017, in June 2020.
