Gas exports from Azerbaijan's Shah Deniz field up 2.6% in 5M

BAKU. June 14 (Interfax) - Gas exports from Azerbaijan's Shah Deniz field rose 2.6% year-on-year in January-May 2024 to 9.472 billion cubic meters, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee told Interfax.

These exports accounted for 54.6% of all gas exported by trunk pipelines in the period.

Overall, Azerbaijan's trunk pipelines carried 17.359 bcm of gas in 5M, down 3% year-on-year.

Shah Deniz exports grew 4.8% to 21.8 bcm in 2023.
