Zelensky urges G7 members to draft Ukraine recovery plan modelled on Marshall Plan by NATO summit

MOSCOW. June 14 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has urged G7 members to draft a Ukraine recovery plan modelled on the post-WWII Marshall Plan and customized to the current needs and to adopt it at the NATO summit in Washington on July 9-11, Ukrainian media said, citing Zelensky's website.

"We need a clear recovery plan for Ukraine. Similar to what the Marshall Plan was for Europe after the war. Of course, it should be customized to the needs of our times and Ukraine," Zelensky said at the G7 summit in Italy on Thursday.

Representatives of Ukraine and G7 members could discuss the agreement details, he said.
