Assembly of Belarusian combine harvesters with Chinese components could start in Primorye in 2025 - authorities
VLADIVOSTOK. June 13 (Interfax) - The assembly production of tracked combines from the Belarusian Gomselmash plant using Chinese components is planned for launch in Primorsky Territory in 2025, regional Minister of Agriculture Andrei Bronts said.
The minister took part in Belarusian Agricultural Week, where he met with the dealers of certain manufacturers.
"We are working with a Chinese company on the production of the undercarriage of the combine; the upper part and the threshing machine will be purchased in Belarus. For this purpose, a production building with the entire engineering infrastructure is under construction in Primorye. Equipment for assembling the combine will be installed inside. I hope it will release the first units as soon as next year," Bronts said.
It was previously reported that Gomselmash had launched assembly production of grain harvesters and equipment in the Krasnodar Territory in the spring of 2023. The plans for 2024 are to assemble more than 150 units of combines and reapers.
Gomselmash produces various models of grain harvesters, forage harvesters, cob harvesters, potato harvesters, mowers and other agricultural equipment.
