Kazakhstan and South Korea sign agreement in energy and critical minerals fields

ALMATY. June 13 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan and South Korea signed a number of agreements in various areas of the economy and industry, the press service of Kazakhstan's head of state reported.

Agreements were signed on cooperation in the development of the energy, oil and gas and petrochemical industries, as well as in the electric power industry.

In addition, a memorandum was signed between the Ministry of Industry and Construction of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy of South Korea on comprehensive cooperation in the field of critical minerals and metals.

The parties also signed memorandums of cooperation in the science and technology field, as well as in the field of forestry.

In addition, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Kazakhstan Financial Market Regulation and Development Agency, the Korean Financial Services Commission and the Korean Financial Supervisory Service in the field of banking supervision.

The parties also signed a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan and South Korea's Ministry of Environment on cooperation in accordance with Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
