Turkmenistan ready to boost science, technology ties with int'l organizations - president

ASHGABAT. June 13 (Interfax) - Turkmenistan stands ready to further expand cooperation with international organizations and research centers in science, technology and innovation, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said in his greetings to the participants in the Science, Technology and Innovative Technologies international conference, held on the occasion of Science Day.

"Turkmenistan always stands ready to consistently broaden cooperation in science, technology and innovative technologies with international organizations and research centers from foreign countries and to coordinate joint efforts," Berdimuhamedov said in his address published in the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.

"The international academic authority of independent and neutral Turkmenistan will grow as a result of further intensifying cooperation in exploration on the basis of cutting-edge scientific methods and innovations in processing technologies, nanotechnologies, biotechnologies, space communications and information technologies, as well as in training highly skilled and competent staff," he said.

"All this serves as clear proof that we use scientific and engineering solutions [and] the latest achievements of our scientists to the benefit of our country and our people, that we give great attention to the development of domestic science," Berdimuhamedov said.
