UNDP sends 40 high-voltage bushings to Ukrainian power grid operator
MOSCOW. June 13 (Interfax) - The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Ukraine, with funding from the governments of South Korea and Iceland, has delivered 40 high-voltage bushings to the Ukrenergo power grid operator.
"The new bushings we have received from our international partners [...] will help us more quickly restore power supplies," Ukrainian media quoted Ukrenergo director of investments Oleg Pavlenko as saying.
According to Ukrenergo, bushings are a vital component in power transmission and distribution systems. If a bushing is damaged, power cannot reach consumers even if a transformer is working.
Ukrenergo has received equipment worth around 20 million euros from UNDP since the start of the crisis.
