Ukrnafta limits its power consumption

MOSCOW. June 13 (Interfax) - Ukrnafta is limiting the use of air conditioning and external lighting to help the energy system amid an acute shortage of functioning generation capacities.

"The Ukrainian government published an order urging state-owned companies to sparingly use electricity on their own premises due to the emergency situation in the energy system," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Ukrnafta as saying in a statement on social media.

It is possible to save electricity, among other methods, by limiting the use of air conditioning and external lighting in buildings and their adjacent territory.

NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine is the largest shareholder of Ukrnafta, Ukraine's biggest oil producer, with a stake of 50% +1 share. The headquarters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces commander-in-chief ruled on November 5, 2022 to transfer Ukrnafta shares owned by private shareholders to the state. These shares are now managed by the Defense Ministry.
