Putin expects to meet with Erdogan in Astana as part of SCO summit on July 3-4

MOSCOW. June 11 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin said he expects a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Astana on July 3-4.

"Hopefully, he should be visiting Astana soon, in July, I believe on the 3rd-4th, as far as I know, as part of an international event, and he and I will have an opportunity to meet and discuss all current issues," Putin said at a meeting with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

The Russian president asked Fidan to convey best wishes to Erdogan.

Putin will pay a visit to Astana, where he is to participate in a summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), on July 3-4.
