Moscow keeps working on comprehensive agreement with Tehran - Peskov
MOSCOW. June 11 (Interfax) - The work on a Russian-Iranian comprehensive agreement has been delayed due to the upcoming election in Iran, while it is ongoing overall, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"On the whole, of course, the work goes on, but naturally, the schedule has been moved back, considering the current period in Tehran where it is preparing for the presidential election, which may be followed by a reshuffle and so on," Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.
"So, the schedule of certain events and consultations may be moved back, but this does not change the situation overall," he said.
Russia plans to continue developing relations with Iran and to improve the corresponding legal framework, Peskov said.
