Planned hourly blackouts in effect across Ukraine from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tues - Ukrenergo

MOSCOW. June 11 (Interfax) - The Ukrenergo power grid operator has announced scheduled hourly power outages across Ukraine from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11.

Emergency blackouts introduced for industrial consumers and households in Kharkov on Monday have been cancelled, while hourly power cuts will be in effect in all of Ukraine's regions from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., as reported earlier, Ukrainian media outlets said, citing Ukrenergo's statement on social media.

The company said it had to introduce emergency blackouts for industrial consumers and households in Kharkov.

"The reason is technical complications in the grid," Ukrenergo said, describing these problems is insignificant.

Disruptions to power supply to critical infrastructure are also possible, it said.
