Govt of Belarus exempts several types of imported equipment from VAT

MINSK. June 10 (Interfax) - Several types of imported equipment, as well as components and spare parts imported into Belarus are exempt from value added tax according to the Council of Ministers' resolution No. 408 dated June 5, 2024, which was officially published on the National Legal Portal.

The list includes more than 100 product nomenclature codes, including various types of pumps, turbines, fans, heat exchangers, centrifuges, packaging and capping equipment, tower cranes, railway equipment, machine tools, and printing machines, etc.

Meanwhile, all equipment imports are permitted for import without paying VAT for some manufacturers, such as the sugar and brewing industries.

The resolution came into force on June 7, 2024.
