Rosatom to build 157.5 MW wind farm in Tambov region

TULA. June 10 (Interfax) - Rosatom State Corporation plans to implement a project for the construction and operation of a wind power plant with a capacity of 157.5 MW in the Tambov region, the regional government's press service reported.

An agreement of intent on cooperation to use renewable energy sources in the Tambov region was signed by Head of the region, Maxim Yegorov and General Director of the Rosatom Wind Energy Division, Grigory Nazarov, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF)-2024.

Investments in the project were not disclosed.

The Rosatom wind energy division was founded in September 2017. The company focuses on managing key competencies in the wind energy industry, from design and construction to power engineering and wind farm operation. There is over 1 GW of wind energy capacity in current operation.
