Kazakhtelecom head becomes advisor to Kazakhstan's president

ASTANA. June 10 (Interfax) - Kuanyshbek Esekeyev, the CEO of Kazakhstan's national telecom operator Kazakhtelecom, has been appointed as advisor to the country's president, the presidential press service said.

"The appointment of Kuanyshbek Bakytbekovich Esekeyev as presidential advisor was made by order of the head of state," it said.

Esekeyev has been the chairman of the executive board at Kazakhtelecom since March 2010.
