Ukraine increases rolled steel production 29.5% in January-May - Ukrmetallurgprom

MOSCOW. June 10 (Interfax) - Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises increased production of general rolled products 29.5% in Jan-May YoY to 2.568 million tonnes, Ukrainian media reported, citing operational data.

Steel production during this period increased 31.2% to 3.139 million tonnes, and cast iron rose 20.8% to 2.839 million tonnes, the Ukrmetallurgprom manufacturers association said.

As reported, Ukraine increased production of general rolled products 0.4% in 2023 versus 2022 to 5.372 million tonnes, but reduced steel production 0.6% to 6.228 million tonnes, and cast iron 6.1% to 6.003 million tonnes.
