Acropol Group exits capital of Polyus in 2023
MOSCOW. June 7 (Interfax) - Ahmet Palankoev's Acropol Group, which had owned 29.99% of Polyus shares, has ceased to be a shareholder in the company, according to the goldminer's 2023 report.
Polyus redeemed 29.99% of its shares last year as part of a buyback, though did not officially disclose its capital structure directly afterward.
The Fund for Support of Islamic Organizations, with a 46.35% stake, was the largest shareholder ahead of the buyback.
Polyus is Russia's gold mining company. The goldminer develops hard rock and alluvial gold deposits in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Irkutsk and Magadan regions, and the Sakha Republic, or Yakutia.
