Russian, Zimbabwean FMs to hold consultations in Sochi in fall - Putin

STRELNA. June 7 (Interfax) - The foreign ministers of Russia and Zimbabwe will hold consultations in Sochi in fall 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"I appreciate the opportunity to meet with you on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, and I am sure that your presence will symbolize the interest of the African continent in the development of relations with the Russian Federation, which is one of our priorities," Putin said at negotiations with Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa on Thursday.

Putin recalled earlier agreements that stipulate active bilateral cooperation. "We have developed new forms, including the format of meetings and consultations between the foreign ministers and plan to hold such an event in Sochi this fall. Hopefully, your representative will be there," he said.
