KRASNOGORSK. June 6 (Interfax) - China Amulite Group will invest a total of 9.5 billion rubles in a production facility for cargo containers in the Moscow region.

According to the press service of the Moscow Region's governor and regional government, an agreement was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) by Moscow Region governor Andrei Vorobyov, CEO of China Amulite Group Xiao Guan Shi and General Director of Russia's IMC LLC Bislan Khuchiev.

"In the Moscow region, we are actively developing a system of TLCs (transport and logistics centers). The three largest of them also do export work. Therefore, everything related to logistics is of particular importance to us. Now in Russia, 90% of the containers used for cargo transshipment are Chinese. Now they will be produced in the Moscow region, and the agreement to do it was concluded today with our partners from China," Vorobyov said.

Investments in the first stage of the project will total about 2.5 billion rubles; total investment volume will be about 9.5 billion rubles.

The production facility is planned to be located in the Yesipovo Industrial Park in Moscow Region's Solnechnogorsk district. The company intends to begin implementation of the project in August 2024 and release its first products in summer 2025.

At the first stage, the plant will produce simple containers, followed by refrigerated containers at the second stage. The company plans to reach its design capacity within three months after the plant opens.

The new facility will provide at least 400 new jobs.
