Russian Railways forecasts 1.5% increase in loading in June, expects positive dynamics for 2024
ST. PETERSBURG. June 6 (Interfax) - JSC Russian Railways is forecasting a 1.5% YoY increase in loading in June 2024, and expects positive dynamics for the year, RZD Deputy Head Alexei Shilo told Interfax on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF)-2024.
"There is still a decline [in loading] underway, but it should be noted that our rate of decline decreased in May. We have set the loading plan for June at 3.431 million tonnes on average per day, which is an increase of 1.5% compared to last year," he said.
The annual plan is being built in such a way that the annual parameter for achieving positive dynamics is maintained, Shilo said.
