Azerbaijani Energy Ministry to unveil results of auction to build 100 MW solar power plant in Nov
BAKU. June 5 (Interfax) - The Azerbaijani Energy Ministry plans to announce the results of an auction for the right to design, finance, build and operate a 100 MW solar power plant in November.
"The results of the first auction [in renewable energy sources in Azerbaijan] for the construction of the Gobustan solar power plant with a capacity of 100 MW will be announced during COP29," Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said at an energy forum in Baku.
The COP29 climate conference will be held in Azerbaijan in November this year.
The Energy Ministry said on April 23, 2024 that it was holding a first auction for the design, financing, construction and operation of a 100 MW solar power plant in the country's Gobustan region.
The auction will be held in two rounds. The first qualifying round will end on July 12, 2024.
