Belarusian car brand Belgee officially enters Russian market
MINSK. June 4 (Interfax) - Belarusian automobile brand Belgee is launching its own dealer network in Russia, a statement from the Avtostat agency said.
"The Belarusian brand Belgee is officially entering the Russian market, and Slava Motors Rus is its exclusive distributor in our country. The official launch of the Belgee brand's dealer network on the Russian market will take place on July 1 of this year," the statement says.
The Belgee model range in Russia will initially be represented by the X50 compact crossover in three trim levels - Active, Style and Prestige, and priced from 2.29 million to 2.5 million rubles, Avtostat said.
"In the future, the Belgee brand's model range will expand, and the next new product will be the Belgee X70 mid-size crossover, which will go on sale in the second half of summer," the statement says.
Belgee cars are produced at the Belgee plant in Belarus; they are localized versions of Chinese Geely models. The brand is already sold in Russia; Belgee currently sells one model in Russia, the X50 crossover, which is a localized version of the Geely Coolray.
