Iran applies for EAEU observer status - Eurasian Economic Commission board chairman

NESVIZH, Belarus. June 4 (Interfax) - Iran has submitted an application to be granted observer status at the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Eurasian Economic Commission Board Chairman Bakytzhan Sagintayev said.

"We received a relevant application on May 27 and are starting the required procedures," Sagintanyev said at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Belarus's Nesvizh on Tuesday.
