Capacity of disabled energy facilities in Ukraine has reached 9.2 MW - EU Ambassador
MOSCOW. June 3 (Interfax) - One of the priorities for cooperation between the EU and Ukraine at present is to meet Kiev's urgent needs for energy equipment, Ukrainian media quoted the European Union's Ambassador to Ukraine Katarina Maternova as saying following a meeting of EU ambassadors with members of the Ukrainian cabinet of ministers.
"We discussed key priorities of Ukraine for the next months, including the urgent energy equipment needs," Mathernova said on social media, adding that Ukraine has lost 9.2 GW of its power generation.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal estimated that the country's losses in energy generation had reached approximately 8 GW in mid-April.
