U.S. working on finding ways to use Russian assets frozen in Europe - Blinken

WASHINGTON. May 29 (Interfax) - The United States is actively working to ensure the use of Russia's sovereign assets frozen in the West for Ukraine's benefit, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Wednesday.

"We are working hard as well to make sure that we can find ways to access the sovereign assets of Russia that are now frozen primarily in Europe," Blinken said at a press conference in Moldova.

He added that he anticipates that "in coming weeks and months [...] we'll see further steps in that direction."
