Putin: Talks in Tashkent will help advance Russian-Uzbek relations

MOSCOW. May 29 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has thanked his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the hospitality demonstrated during his state visit to Uzbekistan.

"Dear Shavkat Miromonovich, I'd like to express my most profound gratitude for the excellent reception and the unforgettable hospitality shown to me and the Russian delegation during the state visit to Uzbekistan. I am confident that our substantive talks will contribute to the further development of the Russian-Uzbek strategic partnership and allied relations," Putin said in a message which was published on the Kremlin website.
