USAID announces tender for procuring 44 gas-piston cogeneration units for Ukraine

MOSCOW. May 28 (Interfax) - The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has announced a tender for procuring 44 gas-piston cogeneration units with a capacity ranging from 50 KW to 3.8 MW for Ukraine, Ukrainian media reported with reference to a social media post by Andrei Gerus, head of the Verkhovna Rada Energy Committee.

Seventeen such units are to be installed in the Kharkov region, five in the Kiev, Zhitomir, and Khmelnitsky region each, four in the Lvov region, three in the Volyn region, two in the Dnepropetrovsk region, and one in the Vinnitsa, Poltava, and Cherkassy regions each.

The tender is to be finalized by June 7, Gerus said. USAID has previously procured 91 gas-piston cogeneration units for Ukrainian cities, and they are being mounted in 32 cities now.
