Peskov: Russia open to cooperation on gas with Uzbekistan, there are many possibilities

TASHKENT. May 27 (Interfax) - Russia is open to cooperation on gas supplies with Uzbekistan, there are many opportunities, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov said on Sunday.

"This is cooperation between three countries: Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Russia. The possibilities here are very extensive. Russia is open to this. This is mutually beneficial cooperation," he said in an interview with Channel One.

Noting that Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev personally welcomed his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin at Tashkent Airport on Sunday, Peskov added that the Uzbek leader "has an especially kind attitude toward our president, as they have very good personal relations."
