Azerbaijan to host World Climate Summit on Nov 12-13

BAKU. May 24 (Interfax) - Azerbaijan will host the COP29 World Climate Summit on November 12-13, 2024, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said on Friday.

As reported earlier, the 29th session of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) will be held in Azerbaijan on November 11-22, 2024. Heads of state and government from over 100 countries are due to attend.

The Azerbaijani authorities are expecting 70,000 to 80,000 foreign guests at the COP29 event.
