Lukoil, Tatneft mulling prospects to implement projects in Bahrain - Kremlin

MOSCOW. May 23 (Interfax) - Several Russian energy companies have been considering the possibility of implementing projects in Bahrain, the Kremlin press service said.

"A number of large Russian companies have been looking into options for implementing promising projects in Bahrain, including Tatneft , Lukoil , Power Machines, and Unigreen Energy," according to the materials for President Vladimir Putin's talks with Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

Tatarstan head Rustam Minnikhanov in June 2022 had announced Tatneft's interest in collaborating with Bahrain, saying that the oil company's representatives were ready to visit Bahrain to discuss the prospects for cooperation.

First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, previously the industry and trade minister, back in 2019 had also reported on talks between Russian oil and gas companies and the Bahraini side.
