Putin invites Bahraini king to BRICS summit in Kazan in October

MOSCOW. May 23 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain to visit a BRICS summit in Kazan this coming fall, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov said.

"Bahrain is now holding presidency at the League of Arab States [LAS], and the [Russian] president has invited the king to visit the BRICS summit in Kazan in October as LAS president. As it appears, the invitation has been accepted," Ushakov said.
