Russia boosts vegetable oil exports to China 18.2% in Q1 2024 - Agroexport

MOSCOW. May 23 (Interfax) - Russia boosted exports of vegetable oil, including sunflower, soybean, and rapeseed oil, respectively, to China by 18.2% year-on-year to 578,300 tonnes in Q1 2024, the Agriculture Ministry's Agroexport center said, citing data from the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC).

Agroexport said that this is a record figure that has allowed Russia to strengthen a leading position among the largest suppliers in the segment.

Agroexport also said that Russia accounted for 58.4% of Chinese imports of vegetable oil in the period.
