CHELYABINSK. May 23 (Interfax) - Transferring the assets of JSC Makfa and its related companies to the ownership of the Russian Federation has been completed, Vyacheslav Plahotniuc, Makfa's lawyer, told Interfax, commenting on the results of the court hearing, during which the defendants were denied cancellation of the injunctive measures regarding the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office.
"The position of the defendants was that the court's decision on nationalization had not only been reached, it had already been executed. The administrator of the shareholder register has recorded the transfer of the shares on behalf of the Federal Property Management Agency (Rosimuschestvo)," Plahotniuc said.
Plahotniuc has clarified that all the companies that were in the lawsuit have been transferred to the government, including JSC Makfa, JSC SMAK, and JSC First Bread Factory.
"Documents were presented to the court today that VTB Registrar has transferred the shares to Rosimuschestvo's personal accounts," Plahotniuc said.
