Rossiya Airlines to fly from Vladivostok to Shanghai starting June 2

VLADIVOSTOK. May 23 (Interfax) - Rossiya Airlines will begin operating regular flights on the Vladivostok-Shanghai-Vladivostok route starting June 2, the press service of Vladivostok International Airport JSC (MAV) reported.

Flights will be operated three times per week on SuperJet 100 aircraft. Travel time will be about 3.5 hours.

Rossiya Airlines already operates regular flights from Vladivostok to Harbin in China.

Flights between Vladivostok and Shanghai were suspended after the outbreak of COVID-19. S7 Airlines has operated flights on this route twice a week since April 2024.

Earlier it was reported that China's Juneyao Airlines had canceled the launch of direct flights from Shanghai to Vladivostok scheduled for February 3 due to low ticket sales.

Vladivostok Airport can accept any type of aircraft. The passenger terminal is designed to serve 3.5 million passengers per year. According to MAV JSC, the route network includes 35 destinations serviced by 15 Russian and foreign airlines. The airport served 763,000 passengers in January-April 2024, 18% more than in the same period in 2023.
