Ukrainian Railways to change schedule of trains bound for Poland

MOSCOW. May 22 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Railways will change the schedule of trains bound for Poland starting on June 9, with the departure and arrival time delayed for several trains, Ukrainian media reported, citing the company's statement on social media.

The Kiev-Warsaw train will depart from the Kiev passenger railway station later than usual, that is, at 7:45 p.m. (instead of 6:19 p.m.) and arrive at the final destination at 10:18 a.m. (instead of 10:15 a.m.). The Warsaw-Kiev train will depart from the Warsaw's Wschodnia railway station at 5:48 p.m. (instead of 5:50 p.m.) and arrive at the final stop at 12:13 p.m. (instead of 12:17 p.m.).

"Ukrainian Railways will make the train from Kiev to Warsaw faster beginning on June 9, with your travel time being slashed by one hour and 23 minutes owing to the optimized border and customs operations at Poland's Dorohusk railway station," the statement said.

The train schedule for Chelm will change starting on June 9, which should also cut both travel time and waiting time for passengers when transferring from Polish connecting flights, the statement said.

The Dnepr-Kiev-Chelm train will depart from Dnepr at 9:48 p.m., from the Kiev passenger railway station at 6:27 a.m., instead of 6:47 a.m., and arrive at the final destination at 4:33 p.m. (instead of 5:20 p.m.). The Chelm-Kiev-Dnepr train will depart from Chelm at 10:37 a.m. (instead of 10:27 a.m.), from the Kiev passenger railway station at 10:39 p.m. (instead of 11:13 p.m.) and will arrive at the final destination at 7:28 a.m.

The Kiev-Chelm train will depart from the Kiev passenger station at 9:41 p.m. (instead of 10:40 p.m.) and arrive at the final destination at 11:15 a.m. (instead of 11:05 a.m.). The Chelm-Kiev train will depart from the Chelm station at 3:55 p.m. (instead of 4:42 p.m.) and arrive at the final destination at 5:13 a.m. (instead of 5:39 a.m.). The Kiev-Chelm train will depart from the Kiev passenger station at 7:45 p.m. (instead of 6:19 p.m.) and arrive at the final destination at 5:42 a.m. (instead of 4:55 a.m.). The Chelm-Kiev train will depart from the Chelm station at 10:43 p.m. (instead of 11:40 p.m.) and arrive at the final destination at 12:13 p.m. (instead of 12:17 p.m.).

The time of customs and border controls on the part of Ukraine was optimized last year for trains bound for Przemysl and Chelm, the statement said.
