MHP Senior Independent Director John Grant tenders resignation

MOSCOW. May 17 (Interfax) -MHP SE, the Cyprus-based parent company of the Ukraine-headquartered MHP agro-industrial group, has announced the resignation of its Independent Non-Executive Director, Senior Independent Director and chair of the Audit and Risks Committee John Grant from the company's Board of Directors, Ukrainian media reported.

According to the agro-holding's statement posted on the London Stock Exchange on Friday, Grant is stepping down from his posts after 18 years in office, effective on June 30, 2024. He tendered his resignation to the chairman of the Board of Directors on May 14.

"John Grant is resigning from the Board after a long tenor, and I would like to thank him for his unmitigated support, wise advice, and uncompromising commitment to MHP over the last 18 years. Together with John Grant we formed the Board of MHP SE and took the Company to IPO in 2008 to start a journey which proved to be one of the most successful agribusinesses globally in a brief period of 25+ years," the statement quoted MHP SE Executive Chairman John Rich as saying.

MHP is the largest producer of chicken in Ukraine, and it also produces grains, sunflower oil, and processed meat products. The holding company's shares are traded on the main market of the London Stock Exchange.
