Kyrgyz president invites Malaysia to create investment zones in Kyrgyzstan
BISHKEK. May 15 (Interfax) - Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov expressed confidence that a visit to Kyrgyzstan by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim will become a milestone in the history of the two countries' cooperation.
"Talks took place between Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim during the latter's official visit to the country. His visit to Kyrgyzstan will make a major contribution to cooperation between the two countries and will raise bilateral ties to a qualitatively new level," the Kyrgyz presidential press service said on Wednesday.
The Kyrgyz president invited Malaysia to consider creating investment zones by encouraging large enterprises to join free economic zones in Kyrgyzstan.
Japarov also confirmed the absence of political disagreements between Kyrgyzstan and Malaysia.
"We expect a delegation of the Malaysian parliament to visit Kyrgyzstan in the fall," he said.
