Georgian parliamentary opposition announces boycott over passing of foreign agent bill
BELGOROD. May 14 (Interfax) - Georgian opposition parliamentary factions the United National Movement (UNM) and Lelo on Tuesday announced a boycott of parliament work following the passing of the bill On the Transparency of Foreign Influence.
A majority of opposition MPs will join the boycott, UNM faction member Levan Bezashvili told reporters. "Together with the representatives of the parliamentary and non-parliamentary opposition, we will soon present a final plan of action to the public," he said.
Lelo faction MP Ana Natsvlishvili said that her faction members no longer see resources to continue working in the parliament.
"Georgia's future is in NATO and the European Union," she said.
