State Duma approves Reshetnikov as Russian economic development minister

MOSCOW. May 14 (Interfax) - The State Duma approved Maxim Reshetnikov as Russian economic development minister at a session on Tuesday.

Reshetnikov has held the post of the head of the Russian Economic Development Ministry since January 2020. Prior to this, he was the governor of Perm Territory in 2017-2020 and worked as a minister in the Moscow administration and head of the city's department for economic policy and development in 2012-2017. Reshetnikov was born in Perm in 1979. He graduated from Perm State University with a degree in mathematical economics in 2000 and completed training as a linguist and translator in 2002.
