Russian shipbuilders plan to deliver over 110 civilian vessels to customers in 2024 - deputy PM candidate
MOSCOW. May 13 (Interfax) - Russian shipbuilding companies plan to deliver over 110 vessels to their customers in 2024, Denis Manturov, a candidate for first deputy prime minister, said on Monday.
"We'll continue to actively invest in this industry and ensure the conditions for it, primarily for civilian shipbuilding. Last year alone saw the commissioning of 108 vessels, and there will be more than 110 of them [commissioned] this year," Manturov said at the State Duma.
Russian shipbuilding companies, including those belonging to the United Shipbuilding Corporation and private companies involved in developing the national shipbuilding industry, are currently undergoing major modernization, he said.
National shipbuilding programs designed for the period up to 2030 envision funding from the National Welfare Fund and investment from private companies, he said.
