Ukraine boosts rolled steel output 30.5% YoY in January-April 2024 - Ukrmetallurgprom

MOSCOW. May 13 (Interfax) - Ukrainian metal enterprises boosted production of general rolled products 30.5% year-on-year to 1.973 million tonnes in January-April in 2024 from 1.512 million tonnes in January-April 2023, Ukrainian media reported, citing information from the Ukrmetallurgprom association.

Ukrmetallurgprom said that steel production rose 32.8% to 2.402 million tonnes and pig iron output increased 25.1% to 2.186 million tonnes in the period.

As reported, Ukraine increased production of general rolled products 0.4% year-on-year to 5.372 million tonnes in 2023, though reduced steel output 0.6% to 6.228 million tonnes and pig iron production 6.1% to 6.003 million tonnes.
