Ukraine withdraws from CIS agreement on flights of special aircraft

MOSCOW. May 13 (Interfax) - The government has approved Ukraine's withdrawal from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) agreement on flights of special aircraft.

The government made the decision at a meeting on Friday, Ukrainian media said, citing Government Representative to the Ukrainian Parliament Taras Melnichuk.

Ukraine has withdrawn from the agreement on flights of special aircraft, signed in Minsk, Belarus, on January 22, 1993, in particular, to maintain national security and to enhance protection of Ukraine's national interests, independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
