Putin nominates Bortnikov for FSB director, Zolotov for Russian Guard head, Chuichenko for justice minister, Kolokoltsev for interior minister

MOSCOW. May 13 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed Alexander Bortnikov as the Federal Security Service director, Viktor Zolotov as the Russian National Guard head, Konstantin Chuichenko as the justice minister, and Vladimir Kolokoltsev as the interior minister for the Federation Council's consideration, the chamber said on Telegram.

He also proposed Sergei Naryshkin as the Foreign Intelligence Service head, Dmitry Kochnev as the Federal Guard Service director, and Alexander Lints as the head of the Presidential Directorate for Special Programs.

The Federation Council's specific committees will hold a preliminary discussion on the submitted nominees on Monday. Senators' consultations will continue at a plenary session of the upper house on Tuesday, May 14.

The results of considering the nominees are formalized by a Federation Council resolution, which is immediately forwarded to the president.
