Shoigu appointed Russian Security Council secretary - decree

MOSCOW. May 13 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree 'On the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation,' the Kremlin press service said on May 12.

"Sergei Kuzhugetovich Shoigu shall be appointed Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation," the decree, which was released by the Kremlin press service, says.

This decree will take effect from the day of its signing.

By another decree with respect to Nikolai Patrushev, Putin relieved him from the position of secretary of the Russian Security Council "due to his transfer to another job."
