Ukraine increases dairy product exports in April 18% - producers' union

MOSCOW. May 6 (Interfax) - Ukraine increased its total foreign trade in dairy products 10.7% in April compared to March to $41.4 million, and 20% versus February, Ukrainian media reported, citing a statement from the Union of Dairy Enterprises of Ukraine.

Exports in April increased 17.8% versus March to $17.1 million and by 11% compared to February to $15.4 million. Imports increased 6.2% versus March to $24.3 million and 27.4% versus February.

"In April 2024, the situation with the export of dairy products improved; $17.1 million worth of them were exported. The last time volumes like these were recorded was in June 2023. However, import volumes continued to grow, to $24.3 million, which is close to the level of January 2024 (imports are growing for the 2nd month in a row)," the statement said.
