Russia will increase amount of oil pumped eastward in 2024 - CEO of Transneft

MOSCOW. May 7 (Interfax) - Russia will increase the volume of oil pumped eastward in 2024, Transneft CEO Nikolai Tokarev told Interfax.

"In principle, it has already been increased above design capacity," he noted.

Tokarev said there were plans to increase oil pumping in the eastward direction as compared to last year. "We have such plans and we are providing additional technical capabilities and implementing a number of projects as the situation requires," he said.
