New Kazakh minister of digital development, innovation and aerospace industry appointed

ASTANA. May 6 (Interfax) - Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has a decree appointing Zhaslan Madiyev minister of digital development, innovation and aerospace industry, the presidential press service said.

"To appoint Zhaslan Khasenovich Madiyev as minister of digital development, innovation and aerospace industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan," the presidential decree published on Monday says.

Madiyev's candidature was agreed upon at a meeting of the Kazakh parliamentary committee on economic reform and regional development.

Prior to the appointment Madiyev, 40, was Binance Kazakhstan general manager. Previously, he held senior positions with the National Bank, was chairman of the Kazakhstan Temir Zholy board of finance, deputy national economy minister. Strategic Planning Agency deputy head, first deputy minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry.

Former Minister Of Digital Development, Innovation And Aerospace Industry Bagdat Musin, 41, was relieved of his duties on April 30.
