Azerbaijani, Turkish FMs discuss progress in Baku-Yerevan peace process

BAKU. May 6 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan met on the sidelines of a summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Gambia on Saturday.

According to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the sides discussed the bilateral agenda and noted the role of political consultations between the foreign ministries and the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in broadening bilateral relations. The development of the Middle Corridor as a way to boost cargo traffic between the East and the West was another item on the agenda.

"Additionally, the foreign ministers discussed the status of the Azerbaijani-Armenian peace process. Bayramov briefed Fidan on results of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border delimitation," the ministry said.
