Oil companies receive 187.2 bln rubles from budget for fuel damper in April

MOSCOW. May 6 (Interfax) - Payments from the Russian budget to oil companies for the fuel damper in April 2024 totaled 187.2 billion rubles, materials on the formation and use of additional oil and gas revenues from the federal budget on the Ministry of Finance website said.

In the previous month, payments totaled 164.4 billion rubles. In total, oil companies have received 627.1 billion rubles from the budget from January through April thanks to the damper mechanism.

As reported, total payments for the fuel damper for 2023 reached 1.588 trillion rubles, after reaching 2.171 trillion rubles for 2022 and 674.5 billion rubles for 2021. Due to market conditions, oil companies paid 356.6 billion rubles to the budget for fuel dampers in 2020. The budget paid oil companies 282.2 billion rubles in 2019 for dampers.
