Russia, Azerbaijan revive tradition of exchanging days of Russian, Azerbaijani culture

MOSCOW. May 2 (Interfax) - Russia and Azerbaijan are seeking to revive the tradition of exchanging Days of Culture, and it is currently planned to hold Days of Russian Culture in Azerbaijan in 2024 and Days of Azerbaijani Culture in Russia in 2025, Russian Culture Minister Olga Lyubimova said.

"This year, we are planning to revive the tradition of holding exchange Days of Culture. This format has established itself as an effective instrument of familiarizing the residents of our countries with each other's culture and art. Colleagues from Rosconcert are preparing a special program of the Days of Russian Culture, which will include concerts, master classes and an exhibition. We are ready to host Days of Azerbaijani Culture in 2025," Lyubimova said, as quoted in a statement made by the Culture Ministry's press service following meetings held in Azerbaijan.

The Russian side is preparing a new special program for Russian cinema weeks.

Lyubimova said earlier on Telegram that the Russian side planned to hold Days of Russian Culture in Azerbaijan in the next 12 months.
