Fodder barley prices in Ukraine rise by UAH 200-500 per tonne in April - analysts

MOSCOW. May 2 (Interfax) - The prices for fodder barley increased by UAH 200-500 per tonne and reached UAH 500-6,400 per tonne CPT in Ukraine during April, Ukrainian media reported citing the APK-Inform information and analytical agency.

"The current situation was mainly due to the lower supply of this grain on the market, rather high demand of traders and processing companies and the corresponding dynamics on related markets," analysts said.

The demand prices for fodder barley are recorded mainly within a range of UAH 5,000-6,400 per tonne CPT as of May 1, they said. The highest prices are typical for the southern region, APK-Inform said.
